Amplifier C-Band Redundancy Subsystem features a Sector Microwave 3NBF-3 combination WR137 and coax connections.
The control voltage for the wave switch is -28VDC using a 12 pin connector.
i had to ask our engineer to describe why this combination would be used and it was as follows:
The uplink chain could have two Up Converters connected to the coax ports and two C-Band TWTA amplifiers. With this switch to input from the Up Converters can be switched when required this in turn will re-route the output of the amplifiers from the primary to the secondary.
